அன்னை வாமகேஶ்வரம் என்னும் தந்திர வடிவினள். வாம மார்க்கத்தராம் வாமர்களுக்கும் ஈஶ்வரி. ஜகத்தை ஸ்ருஷ்டி செய்தவர்களாம் தக்ஷன் முதலிய ப்ரஜாபதிகளும் வாமர்கள் எனப்படுவார்கள். அவர்களுக்கும் அன்னை ஈஶ்வரி என்பதால் இந்த நாமம்.

வாமியே ஈச்வரியாம் வாமருக்கும் – நேமமுடன்
வாமமார்க் கந்தன்னில் வந்திக்கும் பத்தருக்கும்
ஏமமே செய்திடுவாள் ஏற்று
ஏமம் – சேமம்; ஈச்வரி–தலைவி; நேமம்–நியமிக்கப்பட்ட முறைகள்
