அரியவென் றாகாத இல்லைபொச் சாவாக்
கருவியாற் போற்றிச் செயின்.
(குறள் 537: பொச்சாவாமை அதிகாரம்)
Transliteration:
ariyaven RAgAda illaipoch chAvAk
kariviyAR pORRoch cheyin
ariyavenR(u) – impossible to do
AgAda illai – there is none as such
pochchAvAk – the trait of not forgetting
kariviyAR – with that as a tool
pORRoch – with a lot of dedication
cheyin – if done (tasks)
Again a verse glorifying the people that do not have the defect of forgetting things to do in order to get their assigned tasks completed. Nothing is impossible for such people who have such good memory and do assigned tasks with dedication. As said earlier once again it is good to remember to forget the bad done by others instead of harboring ill feelings.
“There is nothing impossible for a person who is not forgetful
Of anything pertinent to tasks with dedication to do them well”
தமிழிலே:
அரியவென்று – இயலாததென்றும் அல்லது செய்வதற்கு கடினம் என்று
ஆகாத இல்லை – செய்ய முடியாதன ஏதுமில்லை
பொச்சாவாக் – மறதியின்மை என்னும்
கருவியாற் – கருவி கொண்டு
போற்றிச் – கருத்தாக (கொடுக்கப்பட்ட செயல்களைச்)
செயின் – ஒருவர் செய்வாரானால்.
மீண்டுமொரு எளிய குறள் மறதியின்மை என்னும் போற்றுதலுக்குரிய பண்பினைக் கொண்டவர்களைப் பெருமையுடன் சொல்லி. எடுத்துக்கொண்ட செயலுக்குரியவைகளை மறவாமல், கருத்தோடு செய்து முடிப்பவர்களுக்கு இயலாதன என்று ஒன்றுமே இல்லை என்பது இக்குறள் சொல்லுங் கருத்து.முன்னரே சொல்லியபோல், நன்றில்லா ஒன்றினை பிறர் நமக்குச் செய்யும்போது அவற்றினை உடனே மறத்தல் நல்லது என்பதையும் மறவாமல் இருப்பது நல்லது.
இன்றெனது குறள்:
இயலாத தொன்றும் மறதியின்மை தன்னை
வயமாக கொண்டார்க்கில் லை
