ஐயத்தின் நீங்கித் தெளிந்தார்க்கு வையத்தின்
வானம் நணியத் துடைத்து.
(குறள் 353: மெய்யுணர்தல் அதிகாரம்)
Transliteration:
Aiyaththin nIngith thELindhArkku vaiyathhin
vAnam naNiyath thuDaiththu
Aiyaththin nIngith – Being rid of doubts about Duality of deeds, birth-death cycle etc,
thELindhArkku – and one who has realized the higher truth
vaiyathhin – for them better than this earth
vAnam – heavenly abode is
naNiyath thuDaiththu – feels closer
Those who are rid of all the doubts in the higher truths and have attained self-realization are closer ro heavenly abode than their life on earth where they live. ParimElazhagar lists the the doubts that stand in the way of truth-realization as rebirth, the thought about Gods existence etc, How would one be rid of such doubts? Experiences in ones life would steer them towards realizaing the higher truths. This verse subtly encourages and urges, an ascetic pursuant to study and search deeply to be devoid of doubts that spring up during the course of serious inquiry. As he has already said in kalvi chapter – “kaRkka kasaDara”, is reminded subtly here.
“Heavenly abode feels closer than dwelling on this earth
For ascetics devoid of doubts on irrefutable higher truth

ஐயத்தின் நீங்கித் – இருவினை, மறு பிறப்பு, கடவுள் என்பவரைப் பற்றிய ஐயங்கள் தீர்ந்து
தெளிந்தார்க்கு – மெய்யுணர்வை அடைந்தார்க்கு
வையத்தின் – வாழும் இவ்வுலகைவிட
வானம் – வானுலகோர் வாழும் வானுலகம்
நணியத் துடைத்து – அண்மையில் இருப்பதைப் போன்றதாம்.
உலகத்தின் அறநூல்கள் கூறும் உண்மைகளில் தோன்றும் ஐயங்கள் அகன்று, மெய்யுணர்வினை அடைந்தவர்களுக்கு, இவ்வுலக வாழ்வைவிட , வானோர் வாழும் உலகம் மிகவும் அருகில் இருப்பதுபோன்றாகுமாம். ஐயங்களைப்பற்றி பரிமேலழகர் கூறும்போது, அவை, மறுபிறப்பு, இருவினைப் பயன்கள், கடவுள் உளனா, இலனா என்பன போன்ற உறுதிப்பாடில்லாத சந்தேகங்கள் என்பார். ஐயம் நீங்குதல் என்பது ஒருவர் தம் அநுபவங்களால் மெய்யுணர்தல் என்பார். இக்குறள் துறவறத்திலே இருப்பவர்களுக்கு வலியுறுத்துவதும், ஊக்கப்படுத்துவதும், நினைவு படுத்துவதும், முன்னரே நாம் அறிந்திருக்கிற, “கற்கக் கசடற” என்ற குறளினைதான். கசடறக் கற்கும் போதுதான் ஒருவரின் ஐயங்கள் அகலும்.

வானோர்தம் வீடருகாம் ஐயமற்று மெய்யுணர்
வானோர் தமக்குல கில்
(மெய்யுணர்வானோர் என்று படிக்கவும்)
