Transliteration:
Anicchamum annattin tUviyum mAdar
aDikku nerunjip pazham
Anicchamum – the soft anicha flower
annattin tUviyum – and the soft feathers of swan
mAdar – my maiden
aDikku – for her feet
nerunjip pazham – like thorn.
Even the softest flower aniccham and the light feathers of swan do feel like a thorn compared to the even softer feet of my maiden, says the man in love. This kind of comparisons have are seen in Perungadai and Cheeva chintaamani also.
“Even the aniccham flower and the swans’ feathers so light
feel like the thorns of Nerunji compared to my maidens’ feet”
