வாழ்வார்க்கு வானம் பயந்தற்றால் வீழ்வார்க்கு
வீழ்வார் அளிக்கும் அளி.
(குறள் 1192: தனிப்படர் மிகுதி அதிகாரம்)
வாழ்வார்க்கு – தான் பொழிதலை எதிர்நோக்கி உலகில் வாழ்பவர்களுக்கு
வானம் பயந்தற்றால் – வானம் பொழிந்து அருளுதல் போல
வீழ்வார்க்கு – காதலி வீழ்ந்த பெண்ணுக்கு
வீழ்வார் – காதலி வீழ்ந்த ஆண்மகன்
அளிக்கும் அளி – காட்டுகிற அன்பு
பொதுவாக, காதலில் வீழ்ந்த இருவர் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் காட்டிக்கொள்ளும் அன்பு, தான் பொழிதலை எதிர் நோக்கி இவ்வுலகில் வாழ்வோர்க்கு பொழிகின்ற வானம் போன்றதாம் என்றே கொள்ளலாம். ஆயினும், இவ்வதிகார ஒழுங்கினின்படி வீழ்வார்க்கு என்பதை காதலில் வீழ்ந்த பெண்ணுக்கு என்றும், வீழ்வார் என்பதை ஆணுக்கும் பொருத்தி, சென்ற குறளில் கூறியிருந்தபடி, பொருள், அறம் ஆகியக் கடமைகளுக்காகப் பிரிந்து சென்றிருக்கிற காதலன்/கணவன் திரும்புகையிலே காட்டுகிற அன்பை வானம் வாழ்வார்க்குப் பொழிதலுக்கு இணையாகக் கூறுகிறார் வள்ளுவர்.
Transliteration:
vAzhvArkku vAnam payandaRRAl vIzvArkku
vIzhvAr aLikkum aLi
vAzhvArkku – for all the lives that expect thes unfailing shower
vAnam payandaRRAl – like how the skies pour and bless them
vIzvArkku – for the maiden fallen in love
vIzhvAr – the beloved (of her) that has fallen in love with her
aLikkum aLi – the love he shows her.
Though this verse can be interpreted to be common to both that have fallen in love with each other, as per the underlying thought of the current chapter, the verse is about how the maiden considers and understands her man leaving for his duties of earning and other ethical commitments to the society. The lover that has fallen in love with his maiden, who has equally fallen in love with him, is like the bountiful showers of the skies that unfailingly pour for the lives that look forward to it.

is like the unfailing rains that shower for the all lives that for their life”
