யானெனது என்னும் செருக்கறுப்பான் வானோர்க்
குயர்ந்த உலகம் புகும்.
(குறள் 346: துறவு அதிகாரம்)
Transliteration:
yAnenadhu ennum serukkaRuppAn vAnOrk
kuyarndha ulagam pugum
yAn – considering this perishable body as self
enadhu ennum – and the impermanent objects which will be never ours as ours
serukk(u) – arrogance of such thought
aRuppAn – who quells that
vAnOrk(ku) – to the heavenly gods
uyarndha ulagam – the high place of heavenly abode
pugum – will reach there.
Whoever quells the thought of the perishabale body as “self” and all that is impermanent as ”own”, will be placed by heavenly Gods in their choicest abode of heavens – says the verse. To get to that state of detachement with the self and the belongings, one must be in an evolved ascetic thought and pursuit. Sometimes it is possible for a penitent to develope arrogance because of the powers gained through their penance. They must realize their earnings of penance are not theirs. The spiritual heights they touch are for the benefit of humanity. Only such selfless thought and acts merit the place in heavens
“Who is devoid of the self and and the sense of owning
Is placed in the choicest abode of Gods, glory shining”
தமிழிலே:
யான் – அழியப்போகும் உடலை நான் என்றும்,
எனது என்னும் – உடமையில்லாத உலகின் பொருள்களைத் தமதென்றும்
செருக்கு – நினைக்கின்ற ஆணவப்போக்கினை
அறுப்பான் – தன்னிடமிருந்து நீக்கியவன்
வானோர்க்கு – வானுலகத் தேவர்களுக்கு
உயர்ந்த உலகம் – உயர்ந்த உலகமாகிய சுவர்க்கத்திலே
புகும் – சென்றடையும்
அழியும் உடலைத் தானென்றும், உடமையும், நிலையுமில்லாப் பொருள்களைத் தமதென்றும் எண்ணும் எண்ணத்தை அழித்தவர்களை வானோர் தமக்கு உகந்ததாய சுவர்கத்தில் சென்றடையச் செய்வர், என்கிறது இக்குறள். அந்நிலையை அடைய, தானென்றும், தமதென்றும் எண்ணாத பற்றற்ற நிலைமைக்கு துறவறத்தில் இருப்பவர் உயரவேண்டும். சில நேரங்களில் தவத்தின் வலிமை தருக்கினைத் தந்து விடும். இதற்கு புராண உதாரணங்களே பலவும் உண்டு. துறவிகள் தங்கள் தவத்தின் வலிமையும் தமதில்லை, உலகோருக்காக என்பதை உணரவேண்டும். அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களுக்கே சுவர்க்கபதவி கிடைக்கும்.
இன்றெனது குறள்:
எனதென்றும் நானென்றும் ஆணவமற் றோன்த(ந)ம்
இனமென்னும் வானோர் உலகு
